Bella’s Voice is a nonprofit focused on animal welfare. We aim to improve the lives of all kinds of animals through donations, education and outreach programs. Animals deserve their needs voiced and provided for, and we aim to fulfill that. They have thrift stores in Lynnwood that are definitely worth visiting!
Book Project is run by Roger and Susan. They donate books to over 400 different programs including schools, daycare programs, senior facilities, prisons, and so many more!
They facilitate the donation of a substantial amount of the books we rehome and most of those books go to Books to Prisoners. We could not do our jobs without them!

Cat Tales is a subscription-type service based in the Monroe School District where teachers can sign up to have a box of books delivered to their classroom periodically. The free books are provided by the Monroe Public School Foundation (MPSF) in partnership with the Monroe Public Library and are meant for teachers and students to keep.

Books To Prisoners is a Seattle-based nonprofit organization whose mission is to foster a love of reading behind bars, encourage the pursuit of knowledge and self-empowerment, and break the cycle of recidivism. We believe that books are tools for learning and for opening minds to new ideas and possibilities. We engage incarcerated individuals with the benefits of reading by mailing tens of thousands of free books to people in prisons across the country each year.
Advocates for Immigrants in Detention Northwest (AIDNW) was formed in 2009 out of the NW Detention Center roundtable bimonthly community meetings, where concerned community members, representatives of advocacy groups, social service agencies, faith-based organizations, Congressional liaisons, and immigration officials met to consider immigration and immigration detention issues. Participants shared their knowledge and experience, and worked to provide practical assistance to detained immigrants and to increase awareness of the Detention Center now called the Northwest ICE Processing Center.
